INDEPTH has a robust portfolio in managing and leading complex, multi-country research and evaluation studies for major bilateral/multilateral donors and INGOs. INDEPTH’s leadership team was engaged in conducting several baseline/mid-term/end-line surveys for multi-country Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) projects across Africa and Asia for Plan International Canada and also assessing food and nutrition programs for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Sierra Leone.
INDEPTH also conducted a process documentation of Oxfam’s faecal sludge treatment plants (FSTPs) set up to respond to the Rohingya Influx. The FSTPs in the Rohingya emergency response project locations are few of the largest in Bangladesh in terms of their capacity.
INDEPTH has strong track of undertaking assessment and evaluations of programs/projects that build long-term economic resilience. INDEPTH conducted market assessments to identify sustainable opportunities, having worked in diverse areas such as sanitation, renewable energy, and agricultural diversification.
INDEPTH’s leadership team possesses deep expertise in microfinance, VSLA (Village Savings and Loan Associations), and developing financial products for underserved populations, including youth.
INDEPTH’s work fosters constructive communication between workers, management, and brands. INDEPTH also conducted an end-project evaluation of a project advocating for workplace safety and protecting the rights of working women in Bangladesh, implemented by Oxfam.
INDEPTH is at the forefront of promoting ethical labor practices and social compliance, particularly within the global ready-made garment (RMG) supply chain. INDEPTH leads regional initiatives on wage sustainability, social dialogue, and wage remediation for major global brands, including H&M, PUMA, IKEA, Marks & Spencer (M&S), Lululemon, ASICS, Decathlon, Fast Retailing, VF Corporation and Louis Vuitton.

INDEPTH has experience supporting WASH programming through research, assessment, governance analysis, and evidence generation, with a focus on inclusive and sustainable water and sanitation services. Its work includes organisational process assessment for Oxfam Bangladesh, documenting lessons from Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) programming and identifying opportunities to strengthen urban sanitation approaches.
INDEPTH also conducted a sanitation market survey for Habitat for Humanity International in Kurigram, assessing access to clean water and sanitation, CBO capacity, and financing opportunities. More recently, INDEPTH supported the Women Leading the Tide project in CharLata, undertaking gender audit, stakeholder mapping, socio-economic analysis, and baseline research to strengthen gender-responsive water governance.
INDEPTH brings experience in financial inclusion through financial literacy assessment, market research, and sustainable finance studies. Its ongoing work for HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Bangladesh assesses the impact of the SIMS Financial Literacy Intervention for left-behind family members of migrant workers, examining changes in financial knowledge, practices, decision-making, and household resilience.
INDEPTH also conducted research for the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) on the future of Bangladesh’s green bond market, exploring opportunities for policymakers, corporations, investors, and market institutions to strengthen sustainable finance. Together, these assignments demonstrate INDEPTH’s ability to examine financial inclusion from both household and institutional perspectives, combining primary research, stakeholder consultation, market analysis, and evidence-based recommendations.
INDEPTH has extensive experience supporting programmes focused on youth development, education, skills, protection, and participation through baseline studies, evaluations, and impact assessments. For Plan International Bangladesh, INDEPTH conducted studies on early childhood development and basic education for Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox’s Bazar, as well as youth from host communities and Rohingya camps as agents of change.
INDEPTH also conducted the final evaluation of VSO Bangladesh’s Vocational Skills Building and Employment Opportunities for Marginal Women and Youth (WYEE) Project in Rangpur and Gaibandha, assessing outcomes of skills and employment interventions. Its wider portfolio includes assessments addressing education, child protection, and prevention of early marriage, reflecting a strong understanding of youth vulnerability, opportunity, participation, and resilience.
INDEPTH has experience supporting climate action through resilience research, programme assessment, sustainable finance, policy analysis, and evidence generation. Its work for the Swiss Red Cross under the Reinforcing Rural Resilience (RRR) Programme examined approaches to strengthening climate resilience alongside food security and sustainable livelihoods.
INDEPTH also conducted research for BICM on the future of Bangladesh’s green bond market, exploring how policymakers, corporations, and investors can unlock sustainable finance for climate-conscious investment. In addition, INDEPTH mapped national policy frameworks and gender-transformative approaches linking girls’ education and climate change for Malala Fund and supported research on school-led community resilience to disaster and climate risks for MuslimAid UK Bangladesh.
INDEPTH has experience assessing and strengthening resilience among communities exposed to climate, disaster, displacement, and socioeconomic risks. For MuslimAid UK Bangladesh, INDEPTH conducted a need assessment on school-led community resilience to disaster and climate risks, examining the capacities of schools and communities to strengthen preparedness and locally led resilience. INDEPTH also assessed Habitat for Humanity International’s multi-sectoral resilience programme in Dhaka’s slum settlements, examining approaches to strengthening vulnerable urban communities.
Its work with the Swiss Red Cross further addressed rural resilience, climate change, food security, and livelihoods, while data collection for Oxfam Bangladesh’s GROW dashboard contributed to understanding loss and damage and climate-related vulnerabilities. Its Cox’s Bazar portfolio further reflects experience in displacement and humanitarian contexts.
